The ruling BJP continued to maintain an impressive lead in 10 out of the 11 Lok Sabha seats in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday, as per the latest trends. State minister Brijmohan Agrawal was ahead by more than 5 lakh votes against his nearest Congress rival in Raipur.

Counting of votes began at 33 centres at 8 am on Tuesday, with postal ballots counted in the first half hour. Agrawal received 9,61,906 votes, leading by a margin of 5,23,644 votes against Congress nominee Vikas Upadhyay in Raipur.

Similarly, BJP's Vijay Baghel was ahead of rival Rajendra Sahu of Congress by 4,25,129 votes in Durg. In Rajnandgaon, Congress's Bhupesh Baghel trailed Santosh Pandey of BJP by 44,621 votes.

In Bastar, BJP's Mahesh Kashyap led by 55,105 votes over Congress's Kawasi Lakhma. BJP's Tokhan Sahu led by 1,35,887 votes in Bilaspur against Congress's Devendra Yadav. BJP's Chintamani Maharaj led by 64,822 votes in the Surguja constituency. BJP's Radheshyam Rathiya led by 2,40,180 votes in Raigarh against Congress's Dr Menka Devi Singh.

In Mahasamund, BJP's Rupkumari Chaudhary led by 1,40,865 votes against Congress's Tamradhwaj Sahu. BJP's Bhojraj Nag was ahead by 4,504 votes in Kanker. BJP's Kamlesh Jangde led by 59,369 votes in Janjgir-Champa.

Congress only led in Korba, where MP Jyotsna Mahant led by 38,372 votes over BJP's Saroj Pandey. In 2019, BJP won nine seats and Congress won two.
