Vasundhara Raje Remembers Sundar Singh Bhandari's 'Era of Loyalty' in Udaipur

Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje highlighted the bygone era of loyalty in politics during a program in Udaipur, commemorating RSS ideologue Sundar Singh Bhandari's death anniversary. She reminisced about the contributions of Bhandari, former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and Bhairon Singh Shekhawat.

Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Sunday reflected on the 'era of loyalty' epitomized by BJP leader Sundar Singh Bhandari, asserting that such loyalty has vanished from contemporary politics where senior leaders are now often disregarded.

Raje's comments came during a program in Udaipur marking the death anniversary of RSS ideologue Bhandari. She praised Bhandari for his mentorship and support, which helped many political careers flourish, including her own.

'That era of loyalty was different. Today, people try to cut the finger which they held while learning to walk,' Raje lamented. She also remembered former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and former Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat for their guidance. The event saw Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria stopping an elderly man from offering a garland during the ongoing program, suggesting it should be done after its conclusion.
