Chhattisgarh's state BJP working committee meeting took place Wednesday at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar were present, along with other party leaders. Sai expressed his delight at Khattar's attendance, calling it 'very fortunate.'
In his address, CM Sai noted Khattar’s review of energy, housing, and urban administration departments and his assurance of funds for Chhattisgarh's development. Criticizing the Congress party, Sai highlighted that initial doubts about BJP’s status were dispelled with leaders like Ajay Jamwal and Om Mathur energizing party workers.
Referring to PM Modi's slogan 'Nai Sahibo Badal ke Rahibo,' Sai credited it for playing a major role in BJP's victory. He praised party workers for promoting central government schemes and exposing the shortcomings of the previous Congress administration. Sai also confirmed the fulfilment of promises related to Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and farmers' bonuses.
Sai reiterated the state government's zero tolerance for corruption, mentioning key changes like the FL10 license reform and the removal of offline transport permits for coal. Highlighting anti-Naxal efforts, he stated that the government had made significant strides in insurgency-hit Bastar, with 42 Naxals eliminated and over 1,000 surrendering. Sai promised the complete eradication of Naxalism in the coming years.
