Gunfire erupted at a Donald Trump rally on Saturday, sparking panic among attendees and leaving the Republican presidential candidate covered in blood. Despite the chaos, Trump emerged defiantly before being quickly ushered to a waiting car by security. The Secret Service confirmed his safety following the incident in Butler, Pennsylvania, approximately 30 miles north of Pittsburgh.

Live footage revealed blood on Trump's right cheek and ear. The suspected shooter and an audience member were confirmed dead, with another individual critically injured, according to a report from the Butler County district attorney.

The motive behind the shooting is still unknown. Leaders from both political parties condemned the violence, emphasizing its occurrence just months before the crucial Nov. 5 election, where Trump faces a rematch against President Joe Biden.
