The Kremlin announced on Thursday that Russia perceives any plans by NATO to establish a permanent presence of warships in the Black Sea as a considerable threat due to the alliance's involvement in the Ukraine conflict. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized that Russia would take all necessary steps to ensure its security.
Peskov pointed out that NATO's concentrated presence, particularly with coastal states like Bulgaria and Romania being members of the alliance, poses an additional threat to Russia, especially under current circumstances.
In response to these concerns, Peskov reiterated that Russia would implement all measures required to safeguard its own security.
