Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut launched a blistering assault on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), stating that the party disregards democracy, press freedom, and freedom of expression, and operates through hooligan tactics.
Raut pointed out infrastructure issues, citing the new Parliament premises becoming a swimming pool and other infrastructural concerns as evidence of poor governance. He emphasized that Maharashtra, once known for law and order, has deteriorated under BJP rule, particularly since Modi assumed power 10 years ago.
He praised Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for his efforts to save democracy and accused BJP leaders of conspiring against Gandhi, causing him stress and unrest. Raut's comments followed Rahul Gandhi's claim that the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) planned to raid him after his pointed 'Chakravtyuh' speech in Parliament.
