BJP state president B Y Vijayendra declared a joint effort with ally JD(S) to challenge the Congress government through a seven-day padayatra. The initiative aims to bring attention to alleged corruption within the state government.
As the parties prepare to march from Bengaluru to Mysuru, Vijayendra emphasized their strategy to corner the government both inside and outside the Assembly. The former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy are set to kick off the event on Saturday.
Vijayendra criticized the Congress government for being anti-poor and halting state development. He specifically pointed to the MUDA site allotment scam, alleging the looting of plots worth thousands of crores of rupees, and claimed that the fight is against systemic corruption and not any individual leader.
