Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will contest the Haryana Assembly elections from Ladwa in Kurukshetra district, according to BJP's state unit president, Mohan Lal Badoli.
The BJP is set to release its first list of candidates for the October 1 polls by Sunday. When queried about Saini's election plans, Badoli confirmed that the CM will run from Ladwa.
The Ladwa seat is currently held by Congress' Mewa Singh. The BJP's Central Election Committee has been meeting in Delhi to finalize its candidates, aiming for a third consecutive term in Haryana.
