Former JJP Leaders Join BJP, Boost Haryana Poll Prospects

Former Jannayak Janta Party leaders Anoop Dhanak, Ram Kumar Gautam, and Jogi Ram Sihag joined the BJP ahead of the October 5 Haryana Assembly elections. Their joining, along with the presence of Ambala Mayor Shakti Rani Sharma, was seen as a significant boost for the BJP. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini welcomed the new members at a rally in Jind.

In a significant political development, three former Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) leaders—Anoop Dhanak, Ram Kumar Gautam, and Jogi Ram Sihag—joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday. Their switch comes just ahead of the crucial October 5 Haryana Assembly elections.

The three leaders, along with Ambala Mayor Shakti Rani Sharma, were inducted into the BJP fold by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini at a rally in Jind. BJP's state unit chief Mohan Lal Badoli and Haryana affairs co-incharge Biplab Kumar Deb were also present, signaling strategic party realignments.

The move is expected to strengthen the ruling BJP's position. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini asserted that the party is ready for the polls, dismissing the Congress' 'Haryana Maange Hisab' campaign as baseless. The leaders’ induction is considered pivotal as the BJP aims for a third consecutive term in power.
