J-K Congress Signals Openness to Alliance Amid Political Tensions
The Jammu and Kashmir Congress unit, led by Tariq Hameed Karra, is open to alliances with like-minded parties and individuals for government formation if necessary. This follows the conclusion of the three-phase assembly elections. Karra criticized BJP's policies as oppressive and accused them of trying to fragment votes by fielding independents.

The National Conference-Congress alliance is open to collaborating with like-minded parties and individuals for government formation in the Union Territory if needed, said Jammu and Kashmir Congress unit chief Tariq Hameed Karra on Wednesday.
"What we can see is that the people have voted in favor of the alliance or to keep the BJP out of power corridors, which is a positive development," Karra told reporters, following the conclusion of the three-phase assembly elections in J-K.
"If necessary, we are open to discussions with like-minded people, forces, parties, and even individuals," said the JKPCC president. "We will consult with our alliance partner to reach out to such entities if the need arises," he added.
