AIADMK's Unwavering Stand: No Alliance with BJP

AIADMK leaders reaffirm their decision to avoid electoral alliances with the BJP. D Jayakumar and C Ponnaiyan emphasized the party's commitment to this stance, citing past betrayals to Tamil Nadu as reasons. Party general secretary Palaniswami dismissed speculation about alliances as "hypothetical."

Senior AIADMK leaders, including D Jayakumar, reiterated their unwavering commitment to the decision made last year, ruling out any electoral alliance with the BJP. Jayakumar emphasized that this stance is permanent and applicable to future elections, underscoring the party's firm resolve.

Veteran politician C Ponnaiyan supported this decision, citing betrayals by the BJP, particularly concerning Tamil Nadu's interests like Cauvery water allocation, as reasons for the continued disassociation.

AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami also addressed the media, clarifying the party's stance and dismissing alliance-related speculations with the BJP and other parties as purely hypothetical.
