Bhupesh Baghel Slams BJP Over ED Raid, Cites Political Vendetta

Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel criticized the BJP for the ED raid at his premises, attributing it to political frustration. In a sharp rebuttal, senior Congress leader and ex-Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has accused the BJP of orchestrating a politically motivated Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid at his residence.

Baghel claimed the raid, which led to the recovery of approximately Rs 32-33 lakh in cash, was a demonstration of political frustration by the BJP. He underscored the money's legitimacy, pointing to his large family's farming activities.

Linked to a probe involving his son, Chaitanya Baghel, in a liquor scam, the raid's timing and intent were criticized by Baghel, who asserted it followed his recent discharge from a prior case and queries in the state assembly.
