AIADMK member M Thambidurai launched a scathing attack on the DMK for aligning with the Congress, a party responsible for introducing Hindi in Tamil Nadu, during a parliamentary discussion on the Education Ministry's operations. He pressed the Centre for details on how many CBSE schools the ruling party of Tamil Nadu has petitioned for within the state.
Thambidurai criticized the Congress government for initiating the three-language formula and argued that they pioneered the imposition of Hindi—a policy that the DMK has recently opposed, despite their current partnership with Congress.
By highlighting these points, Thambidurai accused the DMK of inconsistency, alleging their alliance with Congress resembled playing a political game despite past grievances over language policies.
