In a fiery session of the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, Shiv Sena leader Naresh Mhaske made waves by labeling the INDIA bloc as the 'Aurangzeb Fan Club.' The provocative statement immediately sparked protests from opposition members, interrupting proceedings.
Mhaske's comments came amid debates on The Tribhuvan Sahkari University Bill 2025, during which he accused Congress of operating with corruption reminiscent of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb's reign. Mhaske argued that while the government aims to bring prosperity, past Congress administrations exploited governance for corruption, particularly impacting farmers.
Critics, including Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Arvind Sawant, challenged the relevance and timing of Mhaske's comments within the context of the legislative discussion. The Bill itself is focused on establishing the Institute of Rural Management Anand in Gujarat as Tribhuvan Sahkari University.
