Kyiv-Washington Relations Reignite: New Paths Toward Peace
Ukraine's chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, declared Kyiv and Washington's relations are 'back on track' following recent talks. This development comes after a tense meeting between President Trump and President Zelenskiy. While Kyiv seeks peace, Russia's conditional stipulations impede progress.

In a notable turn of events, relations between Kyiv and Washington have been revitalized, according to Andriy Yermak, chief of staff to Ukraine's president. Speaking to Reuters, Yermak indicated that the previously strained ties are now back on track, following discussions aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict with Russia.
Yermak reported that two rounds of talks held in Saudi Arabia provided Kyiv a platform to demonstrate its willingness to cooperate with U.S. efforts under President Donald Trump's administration. This approach distances itself from Russia's conditional negotiation tactics.
Although a recent White House meeting between Presidents Trump and Zelenskiy was fraught with tension, subsequent dialogues have aimed to mend relations. However, the path forward remains uncertain, as Russia conditions peace efforts on sanctions relief, contrary to Kyiv's call for an unconditional ceasefire.
