Tensions Escalate as Pakistan Protests Indian Strikes

Pakistan summoned the Indian Chargé d’Affaires to protest deadly Indian missile strikes in Punjab and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. The strikes, which killed 26 people, were condemned by Pakistan as violations of sovereignty and international law. Pakistan has challenged India's rationale, highlighting risks to regional peace.

In a dramatic escalation of regional tensions, Pakistan summoned the Indian Chargé d'Affaires on Wednesday, lodging a formal protest against recent Indian missile strikes. These military actions targeted multiple locations in Punjab and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, resulting in the deaths of 26 individuals and injuring 46 others.

The Foreign Office of Pakistan issued a stern statement condemning the strikes as a blatant violation of the country's sovereignty. According to the Foreign Office, these actions contravene international law, the UN Charter, and established norms of inter-state relations.

Pakistan categorically rejected what it termed as India's unfounded justifications for the strikes, which were reportedly in retaliation for a recent terror attack in Pahalgam. Emphasizing the threat to regional peace and stability, Pakistan warned against further aggressive maneuvers.
