In an unexpected turn of events, Raj Thackeray, the chief of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, visited Matoshree to wish Shiv Sena (UBT) head Uddhav Thackeray on his 65th birthday, as reported by the party's mouthpiece 'Saamana.'
The report from Saamana detailed that MNS leader Bala Nandgaonkar informed Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut of Raj's visit to Matoshree, located in Bandra East. Raj Thackeray left his Shivaji Park residence at 11:30 AM and was welcomed by Uddhav upon his arrival at noon. Both Thackeray cousins paid respect at the seat of the late Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray.
The surprise visit comes after their joint rally in Mumbai on July 5, signaling a reunion nearly two decades in the making, focused on the themes of Marathi identity and the political dynamics over the Hindi language policies. Political circles have taken note, with BJP's Nitish Rane remarking on the significance of their renewed alliance, suggesting a potential shift in Maharashtra's political landscape.
