Political tensions in Kerala have heightened as a BJP leader filed a 'missing person' complaint against Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi, just a day after similar allegations were levied against Union Minister Suresh Gopi by the Congress's student wing.
Palliyara Mukundan, the BJP Scheduled Tribe Morcha president, sought police intervention, claiming Priyanka Gandhi has been absent from her constituency, failing to address issues affecting tribal communities. Her apparent neglect during the Chooralmala-Mundakai landslides further fueled the complaint.
Meanwhile, Gokul Guruvayoor of the Kerala Students' Union accused Thrissur MP Suresh Gopi of being unresponsive to his constituency's needs, notably his silence on the arrest of two Catholic nuns. Both complaints underscore accusations of absenteeism against top political figures in Kerala.
