In a sharp critique at a press conference, Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav launched a scathing attack on the BJP regarding three controversial bills proposing the removal of ministers arrested for 30 consecutive days. Yadav argued that history is replete with examples of dictatorial regimes enacting self-serving laws, only to collapse eventually.
Yadav questioned BJP leaders' integrity, pointing out inconsistencies in the Uttar Pradesh administration under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He accused the government of harboring various mafias, citing instances where criminal cases against leaders were withdrawn. The former chief minister stressed that mafias have thrived under the current regime, with examples apparent in every sector.
Addressing education policy, Yadav criticized the state government for prioritizing liquor store openings over schools and accused it of creating an unjust atmosphere regarding teacher recruitment. He called for stronger opposition unity to counter the BJP, especially in light of the controversial bills under parliamentary scrutiny.
