In a fiery address on Friday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reiterated his accusations of 'vote chori', targeting the Election Commission of India. Gandhi likened the commission to an 'election watchman' who allegedly facilitated electoral misconduct.
His remarks followed a series of pointed allegations against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, whom he accused of shielding individuals responsible for undermining democracy. Highlighting instances from Karnataka and Maharashtra constituencies, Gandhi alleged systematic voter deletion.
Despite Gandhi's claims, the Election Commission rejected the allegations as 'incorrect and baseless'. In response, Gandhi called the poll panel to release crucial information to aid an ongoing investigation by the Karnataka CID.
