Tensions have flared in Kerala following a series of defamatory cyberattacks against CPI(M) leaders K J Shine and K N Unnikrishnan. The allegations, intensifying political rivalries, involve Congress supporters in a storm of accusations and denials.
The Ernakulam Rural Cyber Police have apprehended two individuals, C K Gopalakrishnan and K M Shajahan, for their alleged involvement in spreading defamatory content, which included derogatory remarks and objectionable comments across various digital platforms.
In response, CPI(M) leaders have accused Congress, particularly Leader of Opposition VD Satheesan, of orchestrating the attacks. However, Satheesan and other Congress officials deny these charges, intensifying the political discourse in the state's ever-contentious political landscape.
