A senior White House official announced on Tuesday that there are no immediate plans for a meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, despite recent discussions about a potential summit.
This announcement follows Trump's suggestion of another summit with his Russian counterpart, which had piqued political interest.
In addition, it's been noted that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also have no immediate plans to meet face-to-face, although their recent call was described as productive.
