Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched a scathing critique against the previous Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) government on Friday. He accused the RJD of neglecting state development and focusing solely on familial interests during their rule. Kumar assured that his party, the Janata Dal (United), would remain aligned with the NDA, emphasizing their commitment to advancing Bihar's growth.
Speaking at a rally in Samastipur, Kumar accused former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav of promoting family over state by installing his wife in power. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took aim at the Mahagathbandhan, critiquing their prioritization of family politics over youth welfare. Modi alleged that the opposition's misgovernance was marked by dishonesty, which resonated with the state's young population.
Further targeting RJD, Modi highlighted lawlessness during its rule, characterized by extortion, kidnappings, and widespread crime, which he claimed jeopardized Bihar's progress. He asserted that the NDA is dedicated to eliminating Maoist terrorism, projecting confidence that the forthcoming elections will favor continued NDA governance, with polls set for November.
