BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla issued a scathing criticism of the INDIA bloc on Tuesday, accusing the coalition of hypocrisy over their opposition to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls across 12 states.
Poonawalla claims the INDIA bloc's stance is an attempt to preserve their political dynasties rather than uphold electoral integrity, as they simultaneously demand SIR in Maharashtra.
The Election Commission is set to conduct the second phase of SIR in various states and territories, with final voter lists expected by February 2026.
