BJP Member of Parliament Manoj Tiwari has alleged a targeted attack by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supporters on his convoy during an election campaign event in Dumraon, Buxar. Tiwari stated that RJD workers attempted to install their flag on his vehicle and even tried to crash into his car when his convoy resisted such actions.
During a press briefing on Saturday, Tiwari recounted the incident, describing how RJD supporters disrupted their roadshow with slogans and aggressive actions. He instructed his drivers to drive away quickly to avoid a repeat of violence reminiscent of past events in Mokama, terming the incident a "blatant crime." He has appealed to the Election Commission and authorities for strict measures against the perpetrators.
Simultaneously, amid intensifying election campaigns, Janata Dal United candidate Anant Kumar Singh was arrested by Patna Police over a murder case involving a Jan Suraaj supporter. The arrest underscores the tense atmosphere in Mokama, which faces a significant electoral battle in the upcoming Bihar elections, marked by high-profile candidates from rival political factions.
