Pakistan recently called off a planned military operation against Afghanistan due to a mediation request from Qatar, as revealed by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar during a press conference on Saturday.
Ishaq Dar highlighted Pakistan's mounting concerns over Afghanistan's handling of militancy and the Taliban's policies. Despite a ceasefire agreement, relations between the two countries remain strained amid ongoing accusations against the Afghan regime.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has expressed its readiness to contribute troops for peacekeeping in Gaza, although it clarified it would not take part in efforts to disarm Hamas, aligning with the US-brokered Gaza peace plan.
