In an assertive mobilization, 1,027 Congress leaders and activists set off from Jammu on Saturday, bound for a significant rally at Delhi's Ram Lila Maidan. The rally, aimed squarely at protesting the BJP government's alleged 'vote theft', was launched with enthusiasm and fervor.
Under the leadership of Pradesh Congress Committee president Tariq Hameed Karra, the contingent departed in a procession of vehicles from the Narwal bypass. The event, dubbed the 'Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod' rally, is part of an extensive campaign led by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi against what they describe as flagrant electoral malpractice and corruption.
Karra underscored the urgency of the situation, accusing the BJP of undermining democratic processes and aligning with the Election Commission to sway electoral outcomes. He emphasized the necessity for citizens to defend their democratic rights to restore faith in the electoral system, asserting that the Congress stands united behind Gandhi's leadership in this critical cause.
