Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, the outgoing chief of the BJP's Uttar Pradesh unit, reaffirmed the party's commitment to putting the nation first during a recent gathering in Lucknow. Speaking to party workers and leaders, Chaudhary emphasized the importance of public service and unity as he handed over the reins to Union Minister Pankaj Chaudhary, the newly appointed state unit president.
In his address, Chaudhary highlighted the dynamic nature of organizational politics, noting that changes in roles are often dictated by circumstances. He stressed that BJP members are prepared for such transitions, approaching new responsibilities with dedication and forward planning. Reflecting on past years, he celebrated the successful campaigns and initiatives that brought together party workers under the shared vision of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'.
Under Chaudhary's leadership, the BJP's membership drive achieved historic success in Uttar Pradesh, boasting over 2.6 crore members—an increase of 74 lakh from 2019. Mahendra Nath Pandey, state election officer and former unit chief, acknowledged the progress and transition to the 17th party president, Pankaj Chaudhary, marking a new chapter in the party's legacy in the state.
