The leaders' three-day visit beginning January 25 is anticipated to mark a significant moment in India-EU relations through the expected announcement of advancements on the long-awaited trade pact between the two powers. The bilateral ties have been growing since their strategic partnership formalized in 2004, with recent developments showing a marked deepening in cooperation across various sectors.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host European Council President Costa and European Commission President von der Leyen in India from January 25 to 27. Their visit will culminate in co-chairing the 16th India-EU Summit, aiming to further cement the strong diplomatic relationship shared by India and the EU.
