In a heated exchange, the TMC and BJP traded accusations over recent ED raids on the I-PAC premises. The TMC accused the raids of being politically motivated, timed strategically with the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal.
TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh questioned the timing of the ED's actions, arguing that the long-stagnant case had only now been pursued as polls approached. Ghosh suggested that these raids were an attempt to disrupt the party's election plans.
The BJP, however, countered with allegations against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, accusing her of obstructing the work of central agencies. Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat labeled Banerjee's actions as detrimental attempts to dilute constitutional authorities.
