The Assam Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has issued a strong rebuke to the Congress party, headed by Gaurav Gogoi, accusing it of attempting to disrupt the state's social fabric with violence and anarchy. The BJP's condemnation follows the release of an AI-generated image showing their headquarters in flames on social media platform 'X.' According to Assam BJP President and MP Dilip Saikia, this act was designed to provoke and spread unrest across the region.
Describing the incident as an assault on Assam's peace-loving ethos, Saikia declared that such tactics are indicative of the Congress party's historical political strategy of sowing chaos. He criticized Congress for targeting an institution named after Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, revealing a deep-seated animosity.
In a statement, Saikia emphasized that this incident is not isolated but part of a pattern of disorder orchestrated by Congress for political gains. He cited previous inflammatory comments by Gogoi and alleged that Congress seeks support by pandering to a limited voter base at the expense of indigenous Assamese identity. The BJP further criticized Congress's association with controversial figures, accusing them of undermining Assam's unity.
