Bharatiya Janata Party's Dilip Ghosh on Monday criticized the West Bengal government's lack of transparency in utilizing central funds purportedly sent for developmental projects. Ghosh emphasized that no prior government has matched the Modi administration in its financial support to Bengal, yet accountability remains elusive.
Addressing ANI, Ghosh remarked on Prime Minister Modi's efforts to continue the legacy of Swami Vivekananda and Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, suggesting that the people of Bengal recognize these initiatives. His comments followed accusations from TMC General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee that the Centre is withholding funds for critical programs.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi underscored the desire for transformative change in West Bengal, criticizing Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's administration. He called for an end to the state's prevailing 'jungle raj' and emphasized the necessity of implementing BJP's governance model, recalling the electoral success in Bihar as indicative of future prospects in West Bengal.
