DMK's Udhayanidhi Stalin has launched a scathing attack on Edappadi K Palaniswami, accusing the AIADMK leader of having an 'obsession' with criticizing him and his father, Chief Minister M K Stalin.

While campaigning, Palaniswami made a controversial 'pandemic remark' implying that Stalin would have perished had there been a pandemic during his regime, triggering backlash from DMK sympathizers and the Chief Minister himself.

In a campaign rally at Ponneri, Udhayanidhi recalled Palaniswami's association with V K Sasikala and denounced his ongoing verbal attacks. He sarcastically wished Palaniswami a long life, suggesting that he remain AIADMK's permanent general secretary.
