Bacchu Kadu, the former minister known for his shifting political alliances, has returned to Maharashtra's ruling coalition by joining the Shiv Sena under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The move drew both criticism and cautious endorsement from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

State BJP spokesperson Shivaray Kulkarni took to social media to trace Kadu's political journey and criticize his inconsistent stances. He pointed out Kadu's divergent views on Hindutva and allegations of opportunistic allegiance shifts, including previous criticisms of senior politicians like Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Despite labeling Kadu's actions as opportunistic, Kulkarni extended a 'guarded' welcome to him, urging adherence to the BJP-Shiv Sena's ideological tenets. Kadu's history includes forming the Prahar Janshakti Paksh in 1999 and engaging in considerable activism, notably advocating for farmers' loan waivers in the Vidarbha region.
