Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Maithili Thakur expressed her satisfaction with the current trends in the West Bengal elections, attributing the BJP's emerging success to a widespread desire for change among the populace. 'Many people wanted change,' Thakur noted, reflecting on her experiences in the state.

In a conversation with ANI, Thakur underscored the robust support for the BJP, pointing to her interactions with locals at rallies as evidence of the hope for transformation. 'This is a very joyful moment,' she stated, commending the decision of the people of Bengal.

As per the latest data from the Election Commission of India, BJP is ahead in 171 seats, having secured 32 seats out of 294. Jubilations erupted at the BJP office in Patna, with workers celebrating the party's achievement in crossing the majority mark.

Bihar BJP President Sanjay Saraogi described the victory as a 'big day for the country,' asserting that it mirrors the will of West Bengal's residents. He criticized Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for allegedly permitting illegal infiltration and neglecting industrial progress in the state.

'Hundreds of workers sacrificed their lives, and today, the lotus has bloomed in Bengal,' Saraogi expressed, alleging that Banerjee allowed illicit entries while favoring religious groups over economic development. He praised the Election Commission for conducting clean voting, noting it as a turning point for the voters of Bengal.
