West Bengal's political landscape remains tumultuous as outgoing Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee defiantly addresses her party's newly-elected members. Despite the recent assembly election results, Banerjee has declared she will not resign, challenging the central authorities to dismiss her from her position.
Banerjee accuses the BJP of orchestrating what she describes as electoral atrocities, claiming that over 1,500 Trinamool Congress offices were seized. She emphasized an enhanced unity within the INDIA bloc post-elections, denouncing the polls as a farce and asserting that her party has achieved a moral victory against the BJP.
In a dramatic address, Banerjee vowed to continue her political fight, calling for a protest on the Assembly's first day and insisting those betraying the party will face consequences.
