The BJP on Monday criticized the Congress party for swearing in V D Satheesan as Kerala's chief minister, alleging a surrender to 'Islamists' and external pressures.
BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla claimed the Congress leadership ignored its MLAs' will, yielding instead to the demands of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and Jamaat-e-Islami.
Poonawalla further accused the Congress government of being controlled by the Muslim League and claimed the Congress compromised for vote-bank politics.
