Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh has called the ongoing political unrest within the Trinamool Congress profoundly "unfortunate," accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party of orchestrating a strategy to weaken opposition parties nationwide. In a conversation with ANI, Singh indicated the BJP's tactics as repeatedly dividing entities such as Congress, SP, Shiv Sena, and NCP, suggesting similar disruptive actions now affecting AAP and TMC.
Singh criticized the BJP for including in its ranks individuals it had previously labeled corrupt. He painted the turbulence within TMC as an outright attack on India's democratic framework. "The actions against TMC reflect attempts to undermine democracy," Singh declared.
He warned of potential erosion of electoral integrity if such political maneuvers go unchallenged. Simultaneously, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal dismissed speculations of a TMC-Congress merger, calling them "baseless" amidst TMC's ongoing internal challenges, such as leader resignations and intra-party disputes.
