Big jolt for BJP in Sirsa, Om Prakash Garg from Ratia joins Congress with supporters

Congress got big success in Ratia on April 24 when BJP's senior leader Om Prakash Garg left the party and joined Congress with hundreds of his supporters. In order to include them in the Congress, the President of Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee and Congress candidate from Sirsa parliamentary constituency, Dr. Ashok Tanwar reached Ratia. The young Congress leader, who filed nomination from Sirsa on April 20, vowed that Om Prakash Garg would get full honour in the party.
Om Prakash Garg said that they had been strengthening the BJP for the past 25 years. He opined, even when there was no one to hold the BJP's baton in Ratia, he was fully engaged in strengthening the party with full confidence. But the old workers do not get respect in the party, he said. He appealed all his supporters to vote for the Congress.
On the other hand, former MLA Jarnail Singh also sounded happy and opined that the joining of Congress by Garg has strengthened the party immensely. Other leaders including Congress Vice President Jaipal Singh Lali, Gurdeep Singh Gill also expressed their happiness and welcomed the arrival of Om Prakash Garg in the Congress.
On this occasion, Om Prakash Garg along with BJP workers Block Committee member Bittu Singh Kunal, District Vice President of Kisan Morcha Buta Singh Palasar, Village of Kamana's President Ved Prakash Goyal, Mahendra Singh Kamana, Nehru Ram, Raj Singh, Gurdeep Singh Kamana, Village Pilchia Booth President Sukhdev Singh, Rajdev Singh, Gurujit Singh Dhillon of Laduv, Sukhwinder Singh, Billu Singh Sardar Wala, Ramlal Khai, Soma Ram Khai, Deshraj Ahlisadar, Varma Singh Chonkoti, Kala Singh, Ram Singh Rasia, Darshan Singh Brahman Vala, Satish Monga Ratia, Satpal Monga Ratia and hundreds of BJP workers joined the Congress.
