Three candidates for lone Rajya Sabha seat In Manipur

After scrutiny on Tuesday, three candidates remain in the field for the lone Rajya Sabha seat from Manipur for which election is scheduled on March 26. The qualified nominees inclue BJP's Leishemba Sanajaoba, the titular king of Manipur, Indian National Congress (INC) candidate Tongbram Mangibabu and Naga People's Front (NPF) contestant Honreikhui Kashang.
The scrutiny work was held during the day at the premises of Manipur Legislative Assembly secretariat by the Returning Officer (RO) for the election. The last date for withdrawal of candidature is March 18, said the RO.
