Heroic rescue endeavors are intensifying in Kerala's Wayanad district amidst devastating landslides. Specialized teams from the NDRF and Indian Army, joined by local authorities and volunteers, are racing against time to reach those trapped and injured.
Under the guidance of Defence officials, a 43-member Infantry Battalion team, equipped with medical and engineering support, complement the efforts. Air Force helicopters, backed by Defence Security Corps personnel, have been deployed to expedite the operations.
Authorities have activated a 24-hour control room, while local and state government efforts integrate medical aid, food, and emergency relief. State leaders and political parties are uniting to drive essential rescue missions and support displaced families.
