Dvara E-Registry Wins WE4F Grand Challenge with Innovative Rice Cultivation Project
Dvara E-Registry has been recognized as a winner of the Water and Energy for Food (WE4F) Grand Challenge. The award supports their project to implement Direct Seeded Rice (DSR) in Madhya Pradesh, India, aiming to cover 10,000 hectares by March 2025. This initiative promotes sustainable agriculture, reduces water usage, and connects farmers to carbon credit programs.
Dvara E-Registry (DER) is celebrating its recent victory at the Water and Energy for Food (WE4F) Grand Challenge South and Southeast Asia Regional Innovation Hub (S/SEA RIH). This accolade is part of an international initiative supported by prominent global agencies including the BMZ, EU, and USAID.
The award boosts DER's innovative Direct Seeded Rice (DSR) project in Madhya Pradesh, with a target to cover 10,000 hectares by March 2025. In collaboration with Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), DER will connect farmers to the Carbon Credit program, offering them a secondary income through sustainable practices.
DER's pioneering approach in agri-technology includes educating farmers on climate-smart practices, providing market and financial linkages, and promoting digital platforms. This initiative aims to save significant water resources and enhance farmers' resilience to climate change, demonstrating DER's commitment to sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation.
