The Indian Government has allocated Rs 375.71 crore to Chhattisgarh under the second phase of the Prime Minister's JANMAN scheme, focusing on infrastructure in tribal and remote areas. This announcement came from a state government official on Thursday.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for their support. Highlighting the significance of the project, Sai shared on social media, "With Rs 375.71 crore dedicated to building 569.56 km of roads and 108 bridges across 26 districts, this scheme offers new pathways and opportunities for our tribal communities."
Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan emphasized that the projects are designed to connect marginalized tribal populations, particularly the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), with enhanced access to essential services. The initiative aims to improve mobility, reduce isolation, and facilitate the delivery of welfare services, fostering economic and educational advancements in these regions.
