Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has issued a stern directive to officials, demanding all potholes in Bengaluru be filled in a week, following his earlier deadline of October 31. This was announced during the inauguration of road development projects in the Gandhinagar Assembly constituency.

The Chief Minister, together with urban development officials, attributed rain delays to the pothole filling and highlighted ongoing white-topping efforts, aimed at extending road longevity. Funds totaling Rs 8,000 crore have been allocated for statewide projects, including urban and rural areas.

Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar indicated substantial progress, with over 10,000 potholes already filled. Plans for white-topping 500 km of roads are underway amid criticism of central government cooperation in the city's development.
