The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), under the guidance of actor Akshay Kumar, has launched the 'Mumbai Clean League', inspired by the success of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The initiative involves citizens in a cleanliness competition intended to enhance Mumbi's hygiene standards.

Municipal Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani, along with Deputy Mayor Sanjay Ghadi and other political figures, announced the competition's commencement at the BMC headquarters. Various establishments, including schools and housing societies, will compete for awards and potential property tax concessions, judged by a Central government body.

Akshay Kumar, serving as the brand ambassador, urged citizens to actively participate. He expressed confidence that the civic competition will foster a widespread cleanliness mindset, supplementing municipal efforts and creating a sustainable model for urban cleanliness.
