Delhi is witnessing an unprecedented growth in its electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, with the number of charging points surpassing 10,000. More than 3,000 of these were added in recent months, a testament to the government's efficient policy-making and implementation, according to Delhi Power Minister Ashish Sood.
The policy focuses on bolstering the city's charging infrastructure to accommodate the burgeoning number of EVs. In alignment with these objectives, BSES discoms have been pivotal, reportedly installing a 'record' number of charging stations in the past year across South, West, East, and Central Delhi.
Similarly, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited has introduced substantial EV connections throughout North Delhi, addressing future growth demands. This rapid infrastructure expansion underscores Delhi's leadership in EV adoption across India, promoting a cleaner, greener city.
