India Aspires to Host 2036 Olympics: PM Modi’s Vision

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reiterated India's commitment to hosting the 2036 Olympics, highlighting the nation's capacity to stage large-scale events. During his Independence Day speech, Modi cited the successful G20 Summit in India as evidence. India faces competition from nations like Saudi Arabia and Qatar. PM Modi also congratulated Indian athletes for their commendable performance in the Paris Olympics, while extending best wishes to the upcoming Paralympians.

In a bold declaration of India's ambition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday underscored the nation’s readiness to host the 2036 Olympics. During his speech from the historic Red Fort on the 78th Independence Day, Modi emphasized that India is preparing diligently for the global event.

Competing with countries such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey, India's determination is evident. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) will announce the host nation next year post its elections. Speaking on India’s recent achievements, Modi highlighted the successful hosting of the G20 Summit in New Delhi as proof of the country’s infrastructural capabilities.

Praising the Indian athletes for securing six medals at the Paris Olympics, Modi congratulated them and extended his best wishes to the Indian contingent for the upcoming Paralympics. Esteemed athletes, including pistol shooter Manu Bhaker, attended the celebration.
