Italian world number one Jannik Sinner has clinched a spot in the Cincinnati Open final after a thrilling victory over Germany's Alexander Zverev. Sinner secured the win with scores of 7-6(9), 5-7, 7-6(4), overcoming a second-set lapse.

Sinner, who has already won four ATP Tour titles this season, demonstrated resilience and skill, winning 70% of his first-serve points and converting two out of four break-point opportunities. The match lasted an intense three hours and seven minutes.

In the final, Sinner will face either 15th seed Holger Rune or Frances Tiafoe, aiming to become the first American finalist in Cincinnati since 2013's John Isner.
