Indian spinner Varun Chakravarthy recently shared insights into his journey making a comeback to India's white-ball cricket team. Dropped back in 2021, Chakravarthy had little hope but stayed motivated, focusing on perfecting his variations and accuracy to secure his return to the national colors.

In conversation with Boria Majumdar on Revsportz, ahead of the T20I Asia Cup, Chakravarthy reflected on his challenging path back to the national team. Despite initial setbacks including a lackluster T20 World Cup performance in 2021, he remained driven, using IPL and domestic competitions like the Syed Mushtaq Ali and Vijay Hazare trophies as platforms to demonstrate his evolving skills.

The three-year hiatus from international cricket took a toll on Chakravarthy's mental health. Without clarity on his future with the team, he leaned on the IPL and domestic leagues to keep him grounded. He is grateful for those experiences, acknowledging that consistent intense practice helped refine his talents and rebuild his confidence.
