Real Madrid's Ferland Mendy has sustained another quad injury, this time to his right leg, following a recent return from surgery. Ferland Mendy Suffers Another Setback with Quad Injury

Ferland Mendy, the Real Madrid defender, has been struck by another setback following an unfortunate muscular injury to his right quad, according to a club announcement on Monday. This adds to the Frenchman's ongoing battle with injuries, having just returned in November after undergoing leg surgery last year.

Mendy's recent injury, occurring during Real Madrid's 2-0 victory over Espanyol, saw him leave the field visibly distressed after only 14 minutes of play. Since his transfer to the club in 2019, the left back has faced multiple injury challenges, resulting in only nine appearances this season.

Following medical evaluations, Mendy was diagnosed with a tendon injury in the rectus femoris of his right leg, which could see him, along with teammates Eder Militao, Arda Guler, and Rodrygo, miss the remainder of the season, including the upcoming Clasico against Barcelona.
